INTEGRATED KNOWLEDGE AND IDEA
RECONFIGURATION OF SOLAR PANELS IN SELF CHARGING ELECTRIC VEHICLE  WITH FIBER OPTICS

The development of electric vehicle is widely accompanied with renewable as power source. The battery storage capacity is being a limitation of electric vehicle when it is driven over long distance since it has to be regularly recharged as per its requirement. The Self charging electric vehicle significantly reduces this disadvantage by enabling battery to be charged in mobile condition. The rate of charging of such batteries depends on the availability of resource and the capacity of power source being installed. Solar energy can be used as power source by placing it on the roof top of car. The efficient utilization of space required for the placement of solar panel can enable more solar panel to be installed and enhance the rate of charging of electric vehicle. This project aims for the new configuration of solar panels with fibre optics and concentrators in multi layered architecture to increase the rate of charging of battery in mobile conditions of vehicle. Multi layered architecture enables more panels to be placed in limited space and thereby power produced in each unit area of installed solar panel is increased.

  • Presented a paper titled “Voltage flicker Mitigation using DSTATCOM” at 3rd national conference on “Sustainable Trends in Energy and Environmental Resources(STEER-2k17)”.

  • Participated in a workshop on PLC, SCADA and MES at SURGE- 2K17 conducted by Total Control systems Pvt. Ltd.
